Yoga This
style of yoga incorporates deep posture work, dynamic yoga flows,
breath work and a philosophy combining teachings from East and West
and influenced by our indigenous roots - the Celtic tradition. Earth
Yoga enables a tangible experience of the connection between us
(embodying the elements) and Nature (the external elements). These
classes increase strength, flexibility and tone whilst engendering
a greater sense of connection to self, the present moment, the body
and the Earth. Although classes can be taught in studios, Linda
prefers to teach outside in beautiful natural locations across Devon
and at festivals across the UK. This form of yoga is suitable for
those who wish to explore movement, whilst still benefiting from
stillness and deep relaxation at the beginning and end of the class.
Workshops
Longer
workshops can be tailored to the needs of the group, incorporating
meditation in action, reflection and dialogue to enable sustained
and effective action towards a more spiritually fulfilling, just
and sustainable world. Earth Yoga was inspired by Linda's time spent
at Embercombe and the
wise words of Tim
MacCartney.
Schools
Linda also offers classes and workshops at schools and colleges
and tailors the content to suit the age group concerned; incorporating
storytelling and nature appreciation for younger children and wildcraft
skills for older children and young adults. This helps schools to
meet curiculum requirements for both physical exercise and learning
outside the classroom.
